[Hopefully Gudako wasn't attending school with the intention of finding herself a little normalcy after everything that happened with Solomon, because despite everything, she is still contracted to a bunch of servants...and servants are really troublesome things.
And what could illustrate this better than the fact that a seemingly innocuous announcement from their teacher about a new transfer student becomes anything but, when the schoolgirl who walks into the classroom is recognisable as a certain demon king, decked out in the school's uniform. She's introduced as "Nobunaga Fujimaru", giving the class a hearty salute. She hasn't adopted an indoor voice, either; it sounds like everyone's being yelled at by an army general.]
Yo! I'm Nobunaga Fujimaru; pleased to meet you all. You may have already noticed by my name, but a certain Gudako down there-[Even points her out...sorry for embarrassing you master.]-happens to be my lover.
[Wait.]
...I mean, cousin. Ah, not that we're both or anything! Hah.
[On top of everything, she's still speaking in old man Japanese...off to a great start pretending to be a teenager then. Their teacher suggests she sit beside Gudako since they already know each other, and once she's taken her seat she gives Gudako a big grin.]
[ Gudako's face is bright red with embarrassment. To keep her out of the hands of the Mages' Association, Da Vinci thought it would be a good idea for Gudako to go back to school and try and live a normal life for a little bit. But like with the majority of Da Vinci's plans, it was fine... for a time... until everyone started getting restless.
Her head is on her desk and she barely acknowledges when Nobunaga sits next to her, her voice muffled by the wood. ]
What kind of name is Nobunaga Fujimaru... you couldn't even come up with a girlier name like Nobuko Oda...
[ Then Gudako's head lifts itself from the deck in a shock, eyes full of alarm. ]
Who else is with you?! I told Serenity to stay at Chaldea after she poisoned an entire lunch room looking for me!
Ehh? What kind of idiot do you take me for? I'm no idiot! A fool perhaps but no idiot.
[She crosses her arms in protest!]
Listen, listen, I came here by myself. Most heroic spirits are dangerous, you know? I'm sure they'd arrive here and cause you nothing but trouble. Really, the only one you can truly trust to behave is a cute and good Nobu like myself.
[ She yells out, a protacted Nobu which sounds like the sounds the Giant Nobu makes when it dies. Which gets the class looking at her awkwardly and the teacher looking at Gudako with a raised eyebrow. ]
Do you have a problem with your seatmate, Kuda?
[ Gudako shakes her head. ]
I expect you to get on and not cause a ruckus until lunch time.
Yes, sensei.
[ She looks at Nobu and sighs. ]
I was kidding earlier. Most girls like talking about guys, texting, cute cakes, where to get coffee...
[ says Gudako with a little bit of an unsure expression. It felt like it had been so long since she had a normal life that it felt strangely distant, even though she had been a Master in Chaldea for only a year. ]
Although it's a good thing their teacher picked Gudako out from them rather than Nobu, who would have no issues fighting them.]
Say, do you really have to take that kind of attitude from this authority figure anyway? [She's moved on already, gesturing to their teacher.] You saved humanity you know. Shouldn't everyone be showing you more respect?
Ehhh, it's not so bad. It makes me feel like I belong with everyone else.
[ It is harsh being chewed out as a relatively new student though, so she slumps in her seat and looks up at the clock. Lunch isn't far off. Thank god. Maybe they can do something like sit on the roof like cool people in anime do. ]
Up until now my life was just going to school, going home, hanging out occasionally. Not correcting singularities, summoning myths and scrounging for Saint Quartz.
Nngh...but isn't that the problem? Everything's gotten quiet. It's quiet, master...even at chaldea. To think a place like chaldea could be quiet! But it's as if everyone's lazing about beneath the kotatsu.
[Granted, she didn't want to go back to the throne of heroes...that's why she was one of the servants who opted to stay behind once Goetia was defeated.]
Can you compare homework and schoolyard politics to roaming foggy London crawling with robots, or trekking across America amidst a war?
[...that's the difference in perspective between a human and a heroic spirit, really.]
