It's a gentle smile. A smile of pure delight, a smile that is only a smile and no more. It's accompanied by laughter, Nobunaga raising a hand over her mouth as if her laughter is some impolite thing meant to be hidden.
She's no longer a warlord; if ever there was any doubt before, let this clear it all away. With her demon's heart well and truly gone, only this woman remains now, and If Okita had ever met Oichi, a comparison surely could be drawn between those two sisters now, when before they were nothing alike..]

[Okay, this is honestly super weird, but Nobunaga's very existence is stubborn and persistent so she has no doubt that by whatever means, whether they are proactive or passive, that she will return to herself. Okita does not doubt this, she barely even thinks on it, understanding it instinctively. It's why she allows herself to enjoy this shamelessly.

Hey, if you're going to laugh, don't cover your mouth. I realise it's polite and ladylike, but it can't be heard as well when you do that. [She would sooner give up dango for a week than admit that, sometimes, very rarely, almost never, she enjoys Nobunaga's laugh for what it is, even if that means it's a harbinger of doom for everyone else, usually. Herself included, sometimes.

She closes her eyes, smiles and lets go of her hand to raise a knowing finger.]
[Okita don't say something so embarrassing? Are you doing this on purpose???
Cause to be honest that would be easy to believe; at the rate Nobu says embarrassing things and almost gives Okita a heart attack, revenge would be sweet on her part.
For now though, while she still has the emotional fortitude of a small animal that would rather choose flight than fight 99% of the time, she actually looks pretty happy about Okita saying all of that. She's clearly feeling bashful about it still from the way she looks away (only with her eyes) to avoid eye contact, but...
Well, Nobunaga likes it when Okita is nice to her. When she's her usual self it might be hard to take that from her behaviour, considering she'd make some comment about Okita being cute or pure and inevitably fluster the poor shinsengumi, but it is nice to have a cute girl be nice and say nice things to you.]
...if that's how you feel, I won't do it anymore. [She reaches for her own wrist and rubs at it idly, as if she doesn't know what else to do with her hands right now.] If it means Okita-san will keep saying such nice things about me, especially.

[Like, she always shares her stuff with Nobu anyway, pretty much, but she's a greedy woman, and Okita wouldn't have put it past her to just eat them if she was unsupervised and found them, first!!]
[Wow, this is an innocence party if there was one! Okita flashes her a charming, pure smile before retreating to fetch her delicately and lovingly wrapped box of pastries. Untying the box and retrieving a plate to complement the tea set Nobunaga's chosen, she begins to arrange the pastries in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement.
Nobunaga may be a master of tea, but this is her area of expertise! And, once finished, she'll place the plate onto the tray.]
