[Leathann really was something; unlike the cold, dark passageways of the labyrinth, the world before him stretched out into what seemed like forever. He could feel the wind in his fur, the sun against his skin...he even saw animals. Sometimes.
[Whoa. His eyes go a wide at them fluttering around him, but he keeps his hands where they are despite the urge to reach out. There are far more durable things he could easily injure by accident, so he'd rather avoid hurting them. His head simply follows their general movements, turning each way to watch them move.
...at one point, when they rise high enough, he does stand to get a better look. Hopefully she's on solid ground or at least holding on.]
[ She is absolutely holding on. Comfortably. It'd be impossible not to be, he's so fluffy~♥
But, the butterflies are not perturbed, and some of them fly down to settle on his hair and horns. One brave little spirit in particular flutters and lands on his nose. ]
[Oh...he is, isn't he? Futile as it is, he does look left and right to get a better look - failing, of course, as he can't see his horns or much of his fur considering it's volume - but it doesn't seem to bother him.
And then one of them lands on his nose. The sensation immediately draws his attention and he raises his head just a bit, eyes slightly wide and mouth open....]
Ah.
[Only for his entire expression to scrunch up, which can only mean...]
[Apparently, even with a genius coaching her into a very careful wish, the Moon Cell had managed to twist the desire—or perhaps, had looked deeper into Hakuno's heart than the rehearsed phrase she had fed it.
Whatever the case, she couldn't find it in herself to dislike the results. The other participants were all alive, even some, like Alice, who weren't before, and the Grail had even spat out some of the more advanced NPCs. It had also spat out a new cavalcade of Servants, each bound to one of the Participants until the Command Seals were used up or the Master died, whichever came first, which she had mixed feelings about.
Her Servant had been dear to her. She was partly mourning them, even now, but her sadness was undercut by the sheer, overwhelming delight of humanhumanfreerealhuman!! pulsing through her with every imperfect, surprisingly wet inhalation.
She has bruises and scrapes from where she took a tumble through the woods she had been dropped into, but as she lays here, spread out in the grass with the real sun on her face and actual squirrels and birds chittering in the trees, she can't possibly be too upset or worried.]
[To Berserker, the moon cell was just another prison, much like it had been for her. He hated how small and narrow everything was; the arena was better in that regard, but the coldness and sense of isolation reminded him too much of his own prison in the past. The school halls, meanwhile, were just too small for him. He'd been forced to follow her around awkwardly, head ducked and careful to avoid knocking into anyone passing...
So this is all a real shock to his system.
The landscape is so...so terribly expansive. He looks into the distance and he sees there's so much more to where they are. For once, he feels small - and it's the greatest feeling he's experienced in what seems like forever.
As he approaches his shadow is briefly cast across her, blocking out the light, but he passes soon after just a few steps, staring at the trees and spreading his arms as the wind passes, fur lightly ruffling in the wind. For someone who seems like they couldn't look any more at home in such a setting, he moves in a way that betrays how very new this all is to him.]
Out...outside...
[Madness still afflicted him and speaking was a struggle, his words drawn out and spoken very carefully. But this time he doesn't get caught up in it. He can't be frustrated as he turns to her, eyes widen and mouth agape.]
[Her voice is more a gasping laugh than anything, so he's in good company at the moment. She kicks her heels up, relishing the thumb of her tennis shoes against the soft dirt, the way the grass tickles the back of her knees and her bare legs, squinting up at him because the sun doesn't automatically adjust to remove glare.
She's still kind of confused as to why the Moon Cell put her in a PE uniform and left her with a bulging backpack of essentials, but she thinks part of it might be to ruin her from sheer sensory overload. She sits up, patting the grass beside her.]
Yeah, we're outside. I feel like—I don't know. I don't even know, it's all so... much.
He stares at the ground before really responding to her gesture, toes wriggling at the feel of grass beneath them; the sheer concentration in his face is like it's the most fascinating thing in the world to him.
But eventually he does accept her offer, falling back to sit beside her...of course he's almost ten feet tall and a wall of muscle, so she'll probably feel the impact the moment he sits down proper, even if he was careful not to sit too close. Once he's sat down he crosses one leg inwards, hand resting on it.]
[She flops backwards once he's seated, letting her hair spill out beneath her. She'll probably have tangles later, and the thought makes her toes curl with silly, silly amounts of excitement. She had a later to look forward to or dread, and it made her heart hurt, she was so happy.]
I... wasn't human, you know? I was born in there. I was going to die in there, even if I won, but it—the wish somehow made this possible. So now we're out.
[So she did understand. For a Berserker, he gives her an oddly calm look; head tilted to the side, expression curious yet having a certain understanding to it following what she said.
He looks away, eyes following a butterfly that passes.]
[She reaches over and gently pats his knee. ...well, part of his knee. Definitely a region of the Greater Knee Territory, goodness but he is large, isn't he?]
And no more fighting. My God, never again. I just want to go around and see everything.
[She'll want to see everybody in the flesh, eventually, Shinji and Leo and Rin and Rani and Julius, but for now she is still giddy with newfound freedom and spoiled for choice.]
Now, Berserker isn't an inherently violent creature. He does not lust for battle, he does not gain pleasure out of killing or injuring others...in fact, he's a fairly docile thing. It's only when provoked he retaliates, which is natural for most living beings.
But to be told he no longer has to fight, yet remains afflicted with this madness, well...it almost seems cruel. For what purpose are his senses scattered so wildly for, if not for battle? Could he not be freed from it if there was no longer any need for it?
...]
But...berserkers...summoned to fight.
[That is, moreso than the other classes. He can't really articulate it any better than that though.]
[She blinks, craning her head back against the grass to look at him. Her Servant hadn't been a Berserker, but she had fought one; it takes a moment before she parses anything close to his meaning. She raises a hand, but not for a pat this time.
She wiggles it, drawing attention to the scarlet seal curling over the back of it.]
[The movement draws his attention away from the butterfly - it's drifted away now anyway, so not like he's missing much - and he stares at her hand.
It's about all he does, actually. He doesn't know what she intends to do, or what effect it would really have on him. His old master never used a command seal.
[She lets the hand drop, mostly so she can wrack her brain for the right wording. The ability that can be triggered for Berserkers... she knows it, in a way that goes beyond knowing—it's something intrinsic, burned into her from her time in the core of the Moon Cell. Still, it's a tender mental area, and she proceeds cautiously.]
Berserker. I hereby order you to void Mad Enhancement's current effects, and never access it again.
[Even if it's impossible, he shouldn't have a choice; that's the reality of a Command Seal. She feels the back of her hand burn, and hopes that she managed to word it tightly enough to avoid loopholes.]
