Oh gosh a big spooky mansion I wonder what's inside.

If you need prompt ideas

1. Stranded. Your car broke down, or your girlfriend sped away. There's only one place around. It's a little creepy, but it's your only option.

2. Moving in. This is your new place! It's not so bad, and it was a great value for the square footage. Your new life is gonna be great!

3. Dare. It wasn't your idea, but you were dared to come in here by a friend. All you have to do is get inside, and then get out again.

4. The Expert. Exterminator, exorcist, priest, or vampire hunter, you're the guy they call to come clear out places like this.

5. Other. WHATEVER MAN.

[Moving in? Sort of. Insomuch as it's five hours till sunrise and Paloma hasn't found a place to hide. Best to solve that problem before time runs out.

At least Bonnie got to enjoy herself running off with Clyde, she thinks, squirreling up and down the other side of the spiked fence. How long has she been on the run for, terrified and alone by choice? Weeks? How many stolen cars and quick, unfulfilling Kisses in alleyways?

Too many on all counts.

Her little hands slither over the doorknob, and so desperate, so eager to find refuge, Paloma forgets what her nose is telling her and steals off into the mansion parlor.]

[Isn't there always a reason places like this are abandoned? That's the cliche, but certainly those kinds of cliches don't apply to real life..............

......except, yeah, they do in this case. It's something other people wouldn't have noticed so soon, but there's a scent in the air, unmistakeable to something like her. Blood. The parlor was taken care of, so there are no bloodstains, but it's still noticeable...the further she goes, of course, the stronger it gets.

Hopefully she's not considering leaving though. That won't work out.]

[It's uncivil to leave doors hanging ajar. The reek of old blood slamming into her doesn't stop Paloma from shutting it, pressing her back to the wood and calling herself every kind of rude name.

She blinks. When her eyes open, the shadows of the mansion vanish to her sight. She sees the guts of the room in perfect clarity, but someone or something has been here and recently.

Her hand will stay on the doorknob until Paloma detects the aura she's searching for. Below? Above? The next floor? The floor after the next? Nope, thinks the fledgling. I'll find somewhere else.
